Caroline Chisholm Nursing Home, NSW

Overview

Barwon Health is a health care provider in Australia, with services ranging from hospital, rehabilitation, elderly care, community health centres and mental health services. ​ Colliers have been providing Strategic Advisory, Occupier Services, Project Management and Real Estate Management across their assets in Victoria.

Ingenia Communities, NSW

Overview

Colliers were appointed undertake a study that was to provide an understanding of the Manufactured Housing and general housing market in the northwest Sydney growth corridor. We were to review the housing market both feeding and competing against the proposed MHE.

Challenges

Ingenia Communities acquired a caravan park in the North West Growth corridor known as Avina Van Village. The Village was somewhat remote some 53 km to the north west of Sydney and 7 km east of Windsor. Although MHE market had recently been in transition to offer manufactured housing with more substantial masonry finishes, the location did not seem ready for such a product. Nearby, rezoned areas were seen to be able to provide proposed new residential lot subdivisions.

Results

The study indicated that the site was not yet ready for an MHE of the type envisaged. The client has kept the existing caravan park operational for future redevelopment as an MHE.
